Rogers & Haynes Architects were responsible for the project management of a number of interconnected developments that provided the college with new kitchen, dining hall, food-court and toilet facilities replacing existing sub-standard accommodation.
The design reflects the aesthetic principles that had been set by the previous phase of the development and enabled a seamless catering service throughout the construction period. It also addressed all current Disability Discrimination Act criteria.
The materials used where selected for their robustness, ease of maintenance and acoustic qualities ensuring a calming environment with flexibility. The building works were completed in November 2004.
