This new build re-development of a former petrol station site in the centre of Modbury in Devon, is a mixed use scheme with a ground floor retail unit, for Plymouth & South West Co-operative Society Ltd, and ten self-contained dwellings, for Tor Homes. The building is situated within the Modbury conservation area and its design and material selection respect the site's historic setting. The variety of roof finishes, eaves lines, fenestration and detailing were prepared to allow the new building to integrate with adjoining buildings and the wider historic town centre street scene.
