Bay, Newquay is the redevelopment of a former hotel into 33 high
quality self contained holiday apartments with associated parking.
The development, situated between an existing hotel and holiday
accommodation, is prominent and can be viewed from some distance and
from elevated positions on the approach to Watergate Bay. The new
building has been positioned on site to minimise the effect on
adjoining properties, ensuring that their views are maintained. The
building's scale is in keeping with its surroundings, whilst making a
positive design statement within the local environment. The materials
have been chosen to reflect the colour, texture and scale of those used
within the vicinity of the site whilst also reflecting the character of
the beach environment. |
