This scheme in Tremont, Newquay involves the demolition of the existing Tremont Hotel building to be replaced by a new high quality development of 47 private apartments and 12 local needs homes comprising 2 No. maisonettes and 10 No. one bedroom flats. The design has been prepared to provide a modern appearance whilst integrating traditional materials. The building line and scale respects the existing street scene. The main façade has been articulated in both plan and elevation to provide a contemporary feel and visual interest. The curved/barrelled roof form reflects a “wave form” appropriate to the coastal location. Construction is due to commence in Spring 2005 with completion in Summer 2006.
